Card Challenges | As You See It #311 | Cupcake Inspiration #581 | Christmas Classics | Merriest Trees

Hello there! Thank you for joining me again today for a few new to me card challenges of As You See It #311 holiday theme of using a die-cut, embossing folder, patterned paper, and ribbon; and Cupcake Inspiration #581 with a color challenge in Stampin’ Up! colors of Boho Blue, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla … and this card captures all of the requirements. I mixed my neutrals and everything else I could staying within my process.

Under the challenge image, I will narrate what goes with what.

Holiday: Christmas card.

Ribbon|Twine: Natural Ribbon.

Die-Cut: Leaves, tag, sentiment.

Embossing Folder: Snowflake Sky.

Patterned Paper: Countryside Inn and Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper.

Pretty obvious … I brought in a few blue hues, Crumb Cake die-cut and ribbon, Very Vanilla mat and tag.

As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.

I started out with my A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Crumb Cake card base and layered on a piece of Very Vanilla Regular CS cut to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 with liquid adhesive. My designer series paper from Winter Meadow was cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and adhered with liquid adhesive to the Very Vanilla CS, all of which was then adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.

I cut a 3 x 3 piece of striped DSP from Countryside Inn, ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Snowflake Sky EF, and adhered this to the center of the card with liquid adhesive.

I die-cut the tag from Merriest Trees from Very Vanilla Regular CS and stamped the fir image from Christmas Classics stamp set off x1 at the top left and bottom right of the tag.

A length of Natural Ribbon was cut and tied through the tag. The tag was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die-cut the large holly berry leaf from Christmas Classics Dies x 5 from Misty Moonlight, Crumb Cake, Basic White Regular, Silver Foil, and Vellum CS.

My sentiment from the Christmas Classics stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink onto Boho Blue CS, heat embossed with white powder, then cut from its coordinating Christmas Classics Die.

For final assembly, I arranged the leaves onto the tag and adhered with Scotch Tape.

The gems and sequins were adhered as shown.

The sentiment was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
