Introduction to New Stylish Shapes Dies + What New Catalog/Returning Die-Cuts You Must Have

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for an introduction to the new Stylish Shapes Dies that are available to you on May 3, 2022.

These dies are fantastic. There is stitching on both sides of the cut in 5 circles, 5 squares, and 4 banner dies.

I used the 2nd largest circle and banner dies for today’s project that features the Let’s Set Sail Bundle.

The new Annual Catalog has a lot of new and fabulous stand-alone die-cuts that are absolute staples, and Stylish Shapes is one of them. You’re going to be amazed with all of our new shape die-cuts and want them all, because you must have them. Everybody knows I’m a minimalist and they are all on board with me. You will definitely be seeing these dies used a lot and they are the kind that you leave out on your space, i.e., crafting staples.

Many of you already have your new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and below is what I recommend and why + carryovers you need.

  1. Artisan Additions: There are 2 of what I would call a cover plate die and 1 corner die. I love these because they are large.
  2. Beautiful Shapes Dies: These dies coordinate with the Hello Beautiful stamp set and Framed Occasions stamp set. I do not have the stamp sets, but these dies … There are 14 of them in various geometric forms.
  3. Brushed Shapes: There are 9 edgy dies in this all occasion collection.
  4. Cracker & Treat Box: This is a 10-die set with the large cracker box, 5 incredible sentiment strip dies in various sizes and shapes, with 2 tags, hearts, and stars.
  5. Deckled Rectangles: If you are tired of using your Paper Snips to distress your edges, this one is for you. There are 8 dies that are perfect for mats.
  6. Delicate Edges: Here is a VIDEO that I created using one of our retired decorative edge die-cuts. The 4 large dies in this collection beautifully coordinate with all of our products.
  7. Designer Tags: If you were apprehensive with retiring tag top punches, this 9 die-cut assortment more than fills in the gap.
  8. Dots & Spots: This is what I would definitely classify as a cover plate, like the large die in Potted Succulents. This large die is 4-1/2 x 5-3/4. You can use it to cut, dry emboss or stencil.
  9. Enchanting Details: This 9 die-cut set is, well, enchanting. There is a very large corner die, darling swags with a birdhouse and moon, and macrame plant holder with a pot and greenery that = 3 dies.
  10. Fabulous Frames: These dies coordinate with the Good Feelings stamp set, which I do have. The largest frame was designed for the large sentiments in Good Feelings. The other 5 dies coordinate with everything else in the catalog.
  11. Fancy Frames: This is a 2-die layering cover plate that is perfect for our Note Cards.
  12. Give it a Whirl: This large 21 die-cut set is a carryover, thank God, but a must-have.
  13. Layering Circles: I used these dies for the largest circle cut in Vellum for our featured card today with the image panel cut with the 2nd largest Stylish Shapes die, that perfectly nests.
  14. Layering Diorama: Create home decor or whatever your heart desires with these dies. Think ponds and winter for these all-season dies.
  15. Meadow: I love the large 13 dies this affords you. These dies easily replace our floral punches.
  16. Mini Pocket Envelope:  Oooohhhh, the amazing whatever you want with these 10 dies that create a perfect mini envelope or pocket for scrapbooking, cards, textiles, multimedia, and so much more!
  17. Layering Circles: Need I say more? This is the perfect 16 die nesting scallop and line art.
  18. Painted Labels: These dies have been out for a few years. I really appreciate the border, circle, and tag dies.
  19. Pretty Pillowbox: This 11 die set has a detailed pillowbox with tags, sentiment strips, flowers, and labels.
  20. Rugged Icons: This is a great standalone set of 5 dies that are all about masculine.
  21. Scalloped Contours: These dies carried over from last year that coordinate with the Color & Contour stamp set. There are 8 dies, 5 of which are large mats, a scalloped border, and 2 images from the stamp set.
  22. Sequins: Create paper or any textural sequins in 7 different sizes with the largest measuring 2 x 2.
  23. Split Card Textures: There are 2 notecard cover plate size dies with different patterns.
  24. Stitched Greenery: This is a true cover plate that spans 4-3/4 x 6.
  25. Stitched Rectangles: These fabulous dies have been around for several years and I use them pretty much on everything.
  26. Stitched With Whimsy: These fun dies are used to dry emboss whimsy stitched in 6 different sizes onto card stock, DSP, etc.
  27. Tailor Made Tags: You’ve seen me use these tags on cards, as gifts, bookmarks, etc., and can be used for a multitude of your papercrafting projects.
  28. Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder & Die: This is a must have! I accent everything with some type of greenery when indicated and this one is an easy go-to when you need a variety of greenery.

I hope the above guide will help you in your new catalog shopping.

Onto our simple stamping card with Stylish Shapes, which is an updated Stitched Shapes from a few years ago, and the Let’s Set Sail Bundle.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding Night of Navy card base and then layered on a piece of the retiring Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper.

I cut the Vellum from Layering Circles and adhered it to the top center of the card base with liquid adhesive, just in the center.

The sentiment was partially stamped onto Basic White CS with Night of Navy ink and cut from a Stylish Shapes banner die.

I cut the Basic White CS stitched circle from Stylish Shapes and stamped the water-ish image at the bottom with Night of Navy ink.

The sailboat was stamped onto Basic White CS Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, and Early Espresso, then punched from the Sailboat Punch that coordinates with the Let’s Set Sail Bundle.

For final assembly, Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the image panel and adhered atop of the Vellum.

The sailboat was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as was the sentiment banner.

Little birds were stamped in Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy.

The Waves of the Ocean Suite Collection is available until May 2, 2022. After that, only the stamp set and coordinating dies are available. Included in this suite are foil sheets. Be sure to hang onto those for the upcoming holidays!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
