Paper Pumpkin Alternatives | All The Best | December 2023 + Resources

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for All The Best December 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives. I didn’t bring too much in outside of the kit contents; mainly cardstock and embellishments.

Be sure to visit the December 2023 Resources page for additional alternatives, upcoming Paper Pumpkin Kits, and more.

I filled up the acrylic card box with 2 each of the 3 designs and held back the rest of the kit for my alternatives. In the end, I used a good 98% of the kit contents with the stamp set and ink cube set aside to use. I love the large fonts in this stamp set.

Here is a look at the kit assembled.

The alternatives were super easy to make and I grabbed the sketches by CASEing myself, which I often do. I also didn’t catch the right hues in the alternative pictures for some reason. With less than 9 hours of sunlight these days and not using a light box, it makes a big difference. Be sure to read what colors I used because they look like Night of Navy when in fact, it’s Pebbled Path.

As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.

This card has a Pebbled Path card base, a Basic White Regular CS mat with the image panel cut from one of the card fronts in the kit. The sentiment was stamped in Pebbled Path and I tied Linen Thread around the sentiment panel that was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as was the large flower from the kit. Balmy Blue gems were used to embellish.

Our 2nd card has a Basic White Thick CS base that I layered another card front on from the kit. The sentiment was stamped in Pebbled Path onto a kit label and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as was the large floral image above the sentiment. I inked up one of the small flowers from All The Best stamp set in Balmy Blue that was stamped off several times onto the card front with a Balmy Blue gem from the kit adhered to the center of the flowers.

For the last card, we have a Balmy Blue card base that I layered on an Basic EF panel onto with liquid adhesive. I cut down another card front from the kit into panels and adhered these to the card front with liquid adhesive. I cut a large leafy image from Gorgeously Made Dies out of Basic White Regular CS and used a Blending Brush with Old Olive ink to give it a little color that was adhered with liquid adhesive. I cut a gold Brushed Metallic CS and bannered the left side that was then adhered to the card base with Tear & Tape. I cut a Crushed Curry CS scallop from Layering Circles and another from Basic White Regular CS that the sentiment was stamped 0nto with Pebbled Path ink and was adhered atop of the scallop circle. I created a white thread nest under the sentiment circle and adhered this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked one of the small kit flower stem under the sentiment circle with a Stampin’ Dimensional at the top. Again, more Balmy Blue gems were used to further embellish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
