Tis the Season

Good morning ladies! Here's my first Christmas card of the year. I haven't submitted one single card to any magazines for any holiday issues. It's just been too busy around here so I'm going to have to sit out the busiest season of the year as far as crafting goes (which is unfortunate) and any holiday cards are going to be strictly for fun. I had all of these plans and deadlines came and went. However, I do have one Christmas card in Paper Crafts Magazine Card Creations Volume 8 that hit the newsstands last week, so you can pick that up to see it 🙂 I think that I'll have to plan better next year to get a jump start on the holidays.

In the meantime, for Sketch Tuesday Challenge 57, I've made a Christmas card  using some stamps from Papertrey Ink, which I need to break out more often. Gloria always gives us an awesome sketch to use and I will share that with you, as well as my card. Won't you play with us today? We'd love to see what you can do with this sketch, so come on over and join in the fun at Christian Paper Crafts.

  1. It's beautiful! I had to double-check the date on this. You're inspiring me to think about Christmas already–not a bad idea, since I'm always so busy that time of year. Maybe I'll start my Christmas cards this summer. Your card is a great idea.

  2. BEAUTIFUL Christmas card! You did a great job with the sketch, and I love your choice of colors and all the darling embellies – like the pearls, the bow, those cute stockings. Love the layering, too!  Congrats on getting a card published. I'll have to get that mag! You are right about the time for making Christmas cards for mags going by before you know it. Happens to me EVERY YEAR! lol   Maybe there are a few left – you certainly have inspired me!
