Shabby Monday Inspirations For You

Good morning and happy Monday to you! I pray that you had a great weekend. As you know, and I always say this, Monday is a very busy day here at the Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog.

To start us off for today, I will be sharing with you my Paper Maniac Inspirations design team work. Our theme this week is chipboard, which is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine and I'm using it on a lot of projects. It's an instant, easy, and perfectly done embellishment for crafts, and Cosmo Cricket has been making it especially fun for me with all of their adorably cute images and lines of products. The Paper Maniac Store carries a full line of Cosmo Cricket, including the new bright DeLovely line and all of the accessories! New to the store is the Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Letter Stickers, which are funky and fabulous and I do use those on a lot of my work.

Today's project uses chipboard as my focal point using the Tiny Type Letter Stickers for my sentiment. I pleated my ribbon and sewed it onto my card as well. The trick to pleating ribbon and sewing is to use a little adhesive to keep it straight but most importantly is to make sure that the pleats are facing toward you when you sew them onto your card stock. Using this technique ensures that the ribbon doesn't get jammed up under the foot of the sewing machine and allows you more control of where you want to pleat your ribbon.

Now I would like to share with you my project for today's Paper Maniac Inspirations. There's another project that I'd like to share with you as well, so be sure to keep reading. The products used are listed under the Supplies.

Here is the card that I made for the Christian Paper Crafts Color Monday Challenge 57 and Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple Challenge 67. Our project was to be in the shabby chic style using light brown/kraft, cream, pastel pink and blue, with pastel green optional. I made this all-around general card that can be for any occasions. I'll just finish up the inside in a hurry when I need it. I used several new toys that I had in my craft supply but have never used before. There's a lot of texture in my card stock and sponging for dimension. I hope you like this and that it inspires you. Thank you for stopping by and have a very blessed day. To start your week of right, Today's Treasure is Galations 6:9-10.
