SUOC 300: Focus on Sentiments with Hand-Penned Suite Collection

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge 300, #SUOC300, where we are focusing on sentiments today, and certainly hope that you join us!

You can use a very large sentiment or confine yours to a tag, like I did. The tag was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and tied through twine, which draws it away from the main image, despite the sentiment being on the small side. The challenge is to create your sentiment that will draw your eye as a focal point.

Both of today’s cards were designed pretty much the same way.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with a top-folding A2 card base from Basic White Thick CS. I cut a Basic Black image panel mat and a Basic White Regular image panel.

I stamped the images onto the Basic White Regular CS with Smoky Slate ink. Be sure to leave the images on the lid of your Stamparatus to re-impress the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink after the solid images are stamped.

I stamped the floral solid images in the colors below:

  1. Large flowers: Pale Papaya.
  2. Leaves: Mint Macaron stamped off x1.
  3. Medium flowers: Highland Heather.
  4. Small flowers: Pool Party.
  5. Ink splatter: Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Write Marker.
  6. Sentiment tag: Large flower stamped off x1, Pale Papaya.

For the tag, I cut this first from Basic White Regular CS, stamped off x1 the large flower with Pale Papaya ink, and then stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

For final assembly of the card, the image panel was adhered to the Basic Black CS mat with Seal. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the tag. I wrapped the twine around the top of the image mat twice threading up through the hole of the tag and tied into a bow to the left of the tag.

I then splattered on Cinnamon Cider ink from the cap of its Stampin’ Write Marker onto the image panel and added 7 From My Heart Faceted Gems to embellish.

Stampin’ Dimensionals were placed on the back of the mat of the image panel and adhered to the Basic White Thick card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
