Stamping on Designer Series Paper

Hello there y’all! Ready for more backgrounds? I hope so. I had a focus this week, which promptly got lost, and here I am with more backgrounds. In today’s project, we’re adding ink and images to printed designer series paper (DSP) increasing your overall use to enhance what you already have.

I’m not one for bright or loud colors, but this worked by softening it up a bit with rounding the bottom corners eliminating a few sharp lines. My complimentary color is Basic Black using to outline the image and matted to the DSP. My other colors are Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Pear Pizzazz.

The designer series paper is the black and white dot pattern from Botanical Butterfly. I added the large swirly flower image from Falling Flowers in Granny Apple Green and Pear Pizzazz rolling the image in Pear Pizzazz, and alternating the image as I put it down covering the DSP. I pulled in the ‘berry’ image from Mistletoe Season (AC) and added that in Gorgeous Grape to select parts of the image, which was pretty much a deal breaker with this background. The large butterfly is from Beautiful Day that was colored in with a Gorgeous Grape pencil with the color pulled out to the tips of the butterfly with a blender pen. The image was painstakingly fussy cut and outlined with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to conceal the white edge from a side view. I mixed up some Frost White Shimmer Paint with a little water and rubbing alcohol into a spritzer, shook it up, and sprayed the image a few times to get some glam without smearing the pencil work.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals, one at each tip, to the butterfly for dimension and a few Soft Seafoam Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins. The center of the butterfly was adhered down with Tear & Tape.

I hope that you enjoyed today’s card. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
