Alcohol Markers

Hello there y’all! I think I’m going to focus on alcohol markers and ink blending this week, except for Wednesday. I’ve been playing around with All That You Are with the beautiful open line art.

Creativity doesn’t have to make sense, hence my Pool Party leaves. I liked the color combination of something different. You will be seeing a lot of Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, and Pool Party. For this flower, Soft Sea Foam is the stem, Petal Pink for the flowers, and Flirty Flamingo for the accent flowers with a handmade accessory of Flirty Flamingo die-cut hearts from Stitched Labels Framelits with Wink of Stella, adhered to Silver & White Baker’s Twine threaded through a Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon and a junk bow with 5/8″ Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. Anytime you use Stampin’ Blends, you want to use Thick Whisper White CS. Did you know that you do not have to use black ink when coloring with blends? I used Basic Gray to keep the colors soft, but still have distinct lines after coloring, as I left the image in the Stamparatus, colored, and then stamped again.

This image really took no time to fill in at all. The trick to blending is to make sure you’re working with wet or fresh color. I know that our blends only have 2 colors to each family, but you get a 3rd with tip-to-tip and more depending on how heavy your hand is. I added a strip of Basic Gray Neutrals 6×6 to the left side of the card and inside panel bottom. You don’t always have to have a sentiment on front. I’ve been more so prepping cards lately and then adding the sentiment(s) to fit when it’s time to send out.

I’ll be back tomorrow with SUOC and Wednesday with ATSM. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Have a great day and God bless…and stay warm.
