Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #344 | Valentine’s Day

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #344 where we have a Valentine’s Day theme and hope that you join us.

Today’s card features the Wonderful Thoughts Bundle from the Annual Catalog with Sale-A-Bration Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Geometric Embossing Folder, for this nontraditional Valentine’s Day project.

The die-cut hearts are from Wonderful Thoughts Dies, as is the sentiment. The heart die is able to cut 2 pieces of CS at one time, so I did that. What really helped this project along is the Geometric Embossing Folder that I was able to dry emboss all 15 hearts at the same time due to the multiple patterns in the embossing folder making this a very textural and dimensional card.

Today’s colors are Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, and Fresh Freesia with the background DSP in Flirty Flamingo.

As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.

I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick CS base and cut a piece of Most Adored Specialty DSP from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure to the same measurements that was adhered over the card base with Seal.

Next, I pulled out the Wonderful Thoughts Dies and cut 3 hearts each from Petal Pink, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party and Fresh Freesia Cardstock.

I then put all 15 hearts in the Geometrics Embossing Folder and ran that through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals were adhered to the back of the hearts.

For the Wonderful Thoughts sentiment, that was stamped in Versamark, gold heat embossed, and cut from its coordinating die.

For final assembly, I did a little bit of math to get the hearts centered and adhered to the Basic White Regular CS image panel.

I tied a length of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon at the top of the image panel that was bowed at the left.

The sentiment was adhered to the image panel with liquid and Seal adhesives.

Lastly, the image panel was adhered to the card base with Seal Adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
