Coloring on Specialty Paper | Wanted to Say Dies

Hello there! So today, I had a color scheme in my head for a quick birthday card but did not have the Parakeet Party glimmer that I wanted so I made it myself. I always keep retired glimmer, foils, and vellum on board for times like this.

There is so much you can do with alcohol markers to customize any project on any textile. The versatile Wanted To Say Dies were used for every aspect of this card, which took minutes to make.

As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.

I started out with my Basic White Regular CS base and layered on a piece of Rock & Roll DSP with Seal Adhesive.

I pulled out the Wanted To Say Dies and cut the sentiment from Vellum and Basic Black CS that were adhered together with liquid adhesive.

I colored a piece of clear glimmer paper with the Dark Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blend Marker until I was happy with the saturation. I cut the glimmer paper with the star cluster, present, and bow dies from Wanted To Say Dies, along with a Basic White Regular CS Layering Circle Die.

The key to coloring textured paper is to use the side of the marker so you don’t blunt out the tip of the marker.

For final assembly, I cut the stars apart with my Paper Snips. The circle die was adhered to the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals with the sentiment adhered with liquid adhesive.

The stars were adhered with liquid adhesive, as was the present and bow. An Iridescent Pearl was placed in the center of the bow.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
