FS252 Snowy Sleigh Ride

Hi friends, This is my card for the Featured Stamper Challenge that I hostess at Splitcoast Stampers every Sunday. It's a very fun challenge where you choose a card from the Featured Stamper's gallery, CASE it (copy and share everything), by changing at least 2 elements on the card, and then sharing it with the rest of us. It's a lot of fun and one of the challenges at Splitcoast Stampers that I've always participated in and now I have the honor and privilege of being your challenge hostess every week. I've taken the challenge in a little bit of a different direction in that I'm finding those unknown paper crafters with galleries that rock who I like to showcase for everybody to inspire you. There's so many of them out there and I have a fabulous lineup for you in the months to come. I post the challenge on Saturday evenings at 10 p.m. EST for those overseas and for the challenge stalkers. To upload your cards on a Sunday, you must be a Splitcoast Stampers Fan Club Member and it's well worth the $24.95 a year, because you also get to see the Dirty Dozen in action and participate in their challenges too! You can sign up to be a Fan Club Member here. AND, don't forget the hundreds of volunteers who made Splitocoast Stampers the #1 crafting website, who do a myriad of tasks to make your experience a pleasant one. Why not thank them by giving them a Moddy Christmas? Need a tutorial? Check out the Resources Section. I have a tutorial that I've written on how to make a Matchbox Post-It Note and have another one coming up in May that uses a household staple in an unbelievable way. When I presented my idea to the Community Director, Lydia, and the Creative Director, Beate, I got Lydia's famous "squeee!

Now, onto my card, I chose the Featured Stamper's 252 of Studbo, Linda Anderson, beyond classic and beautiful PTI In the Meadow card and made my Snowy Sleigh Ride card. I used the same fabulous stamp set but changed the colors and sketch, as well as adding a few different elements, while removing some as well.

Unfortunately, I do need to learn some better photo editing software because the pictures do not do this card justice at all. I also need to learn how to do the video thing too because I video almost everything now to share with you. DON'T FORGET THERE'S MORE TIME LEFT AND TO JOIN MY 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS 2011 SERIES! I have a fabulous grand prize for you! I am hoping to have the series completed by Wednesday and I'll leave you until Saturday, December 10 to get  your comments in, spread the word, follow the rules and all of that other good stuff so that I can announce the prize winners on Sunday, December 11.

Here is my card and I hope that that enjoy it. I really think that it turned out very nice and thank you Linda for the inspiration! Enjoy and God bless your day.

Crafty Hint: A lot of the time, Stampin' Up! Classic Ink does not pick up well on clear stamps because it's not formulated to do so. Ink up your image using Stampin' Up Craft Ink first using the same color that you wish to use and then ink on top of the image with Stampin' Up! Classic Ink. Works like a charm and your image will be fully covered with the rich and vibrant color of your choice. The Stampin' Up! Craft Ink seems to grab and seal the Classic Ink onto your image. As you can see by my image above with the sleigh, I used this technique and my ink coverage is very even. Give it a try!
