Combining Annual Catalog Summer Products with Holiday Catalog Products

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a very fun birthday card where I combined two of our current publications to show you how versatile and coordinating our products are.

I used the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle with Christmas Cheer and Seasonal Labels Dies, as well as incorporating Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, Checks & Dots EF, and twine from Flowers for Every Season Ribbon ComboPack. This card is 3-1/2 x 5.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions are below.

I cut my Blushing Bride card base to 7 x 5 and scored at 3-1/2 for a top-folding and corner-rounded card with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I cut the Vellum CS, Highland Heather gingham DSP, ‘happy’ from the Christmas Cheers Die from a Gold Foil Sheet, and image panel at the same time so I would know how much wiggle room I had with using our Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the Vellum and Highland Heather gingham DSP, so my sentiment and image panel would work. I am a huge fan of large sentiment stamps and dies.

To stamp the sentiment/image panel, I stamped off x3 the dots from Sweet Ice Cream in Highland Heather for the texture onto Basic White CS. This panel was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals when I figured out the twine thing. I think we all know by now that designs are pretty much a wing it thing. Other projects just work out perfectly.

When I use a ribbon or twine that I’m adhering with Stampin’ Dimensionals to any panel, I use our Seal+ to adhere down the ends.

I stamped the cone image in Flirty Flamingo onto Pale Papaya CS and ink, that I forgot to add to the Supplies, and took a Sponge Dauber to apply Pale Papapa ink to.

The ice cream image was stamped in Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, and Highland Heather with the sprinkles in Gorgeous Grape, and punched out from the coordinating Ice Cream Builder Punch.

I stamped the Birthday sentiment off to the right of the image panel. I do frequently mask my sentiments, that I did several times with this project.

When I put together the ice cream cone images. I used a combination of our liquid adhesive and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to align this up with the image panel.

My twine was intentionally tied something to a little different for visual interest.

I love this size of card so you can have what I would call an ‘overhang,’ as in a sentiment or image panel + light enough, so that it still fits into our Medium Size envelopes with only 1 postage stamp, in and outside of the US.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
