Color Theory with the Blessings of Home Bundle + GDP348

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a project created with the Blessings of Home Bundle for Global Design Project #348 Challenge with a little Color Theory thrown using Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape, Orchid Oasis, and Sahara Sand.

The Pale Papaya with Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape with Orchid Oasis bounce off of each other beautifully.

This card was really easy to make. I broke out our Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens for the image. For the image background, I die-cut in a square with masking paper and blended in Sahara Sand using a pattern from Artistic Mix Stencils.

Sahara Sand is a very underused color and one that I need to start paying more attention to. For some reason, my Gorgeous Grape Watercolor Pencil is not showing up in the photos as it shows in person unedited. Granted, it is lightly colored, but very visible in person.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding Sahara Sand card base. Using the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, I used a Blending Brush to lightly apply Sahara Sand ink.

I cut the image mat from Pale Papaya CS and image panel from Basic White Regular CS.

To create my mask, I cut the masking paper to the exact size of the image panel. I die-cut the 2nd largest square from Stylish Shapes into the middle of the mask. I pulled off the backing from the mask paper and applied it directly over the image panel, which left me the open square blend my mask and ink.

I stamped the floral image onto Basic White Regular CS with Sahara Sand ink and used my Watercolor Pencils in Pumpkin Pie for the stamens and Gorgeous Grape to color in the flowers, both of which were blended out with a Blender Pen. I re-stamped the image again after coloring to crisp up the lines. The image was cut from its coordinating die.

For final assembly, I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the image panel with Gorgeous Grape ink.

I adhered the image panel to the Pale Papaya mat with liquid adhesive. The entire panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flower was adhered to the image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow with Orchid Oasis Woven Metallic Ribbon, adhered it to the stem of the floral arrangement with a Mini Glue Dot, and frayed the ends of the ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
