Hello there friends! I’ve had some very frustrating technical difficulties over the past few days! I just need to figure out one more thing and hopefully I’m on the road to a full recovery, in more ways than one.
Today would have been my beloved father’s 75th birthday. He died way too young and the world lost a great man who really made a difference in the lives of others that he touched. Below is the birthday card that I made him.
And here is the inside of the card.
There’s a story to all of this. When I was moving dad’s bedroom furniture, in his top dresser drawer (along with his personal filing cabinet and a card-size Rubbermaid), daddy had kept every single card that I’ve ever made him. I sent him cards just to send him cards. It’s what we do and love, and dad loved his cards. For Father’s Day and his birthday, I make him a card every year, write what I want to inside, seal it up and put it with the other cards in the top drawer of his dresser. I have his beautiful antiques in my guest bedroom that was previously in his bedroom. It doesn’t creep me out at all. The antiques are just about all I have left from him and I treasure my guest bedroom. It’s like having his presence with me. So, there’s a lot of meaning behind my card.
I used the brand new Urban Underground Product Suite from the new 2017 Spring Occasions Catalog that will be available to you on January 4. I do plan on writing my Stampin’ Up! News post this weekend and put out a newsletter even. There is a lot to share with you.
Below is a video that I made for you about this product suite and how to keep your photopolymer stamp sets together. This might seem like a silly video, but it’s been a tremendous help to me keeping organized and not losing that piece of backing sheet to my stamp sets. Works like a charm. I hope that you enjoy my card and video.
Oh, and I have a ton more of For Sale videos I have to do. I purged the craft room! For a list of products and supplies used on this card project, simply click on the link below to shop!

I was surfing the Internet, saw your card and clicked on your blog. I read about your love for your father, the cards, the antique dresser and it touched me so much. Bless you for your respect and appreciation for your father. He lived to know how much you cared for him…not all relationships end that beautifully. How wonderful that you keep him alive in this way. What a tribute.
