MTCC 56: Masculine with Biggest Wish and He’s the Man

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge #56, where we have a masculine theme and hope that you join us.

I do not have the He’s the Man Suite Collection in my space … since there’s absolutely no reason for me to have anything like this on board, but I knew I could take the DSP places and the fabulous All That Dies with the selection of frames, banners, shapes, etc.

This was an easy card to make and I hope that you give it a try.

It’s been raining here at least 4 days a week for months now, which is a photography nightmare, so I’m winging it. There is a lot of depth and richness on today’s project.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 side-folding 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 Soft Suede card base and cut my Very Vanilla image panel to size.

I cut 4 strips of DSP into 1 x 2-1/4 and the center strip is from the punch-out sheets that are available in He’s the Man DSP. The automobile image is also from the punch-out sheet. The only stamping done on this card was the sentiment.

The sketch concept for the design of this card was me CASEing myself from a few years ago, so this came together fast.

The DSP was adhered to the image panel with liquid adhesive and I worked myself to the center from the left and right edge to ensure perfect placement. I wrapped a length of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim where the DSP meets the image panel to hid the ugly.

The sentiment was stamped in Cajun Craze from Biggest Wishes.

Stampin’ Dimensionals were placed on the back of the automobile image.

For final assembly, I adhered the auto image to the DSP. Two Argyle style dies were cut from All That out of Very Vanilla Regular CS. I adhered these down with liquid adhesive to enclose the sentiment and fill a vanilla void.

Two small Matte Black Dots were adhered in the center of the Argyle pattern to embellish.

I kept the inside of this project simple with a Very Vanilla CS panel, He’s the Man DSP notebook punch-out and star.

The inside is left blank so I can customize the sentiment to the message that needs to be delivered effectively making sure the friend-zone is prominent from the card front sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
