Good morning. I haven't been blogging much for several reasons: loss of mojo, back surgery, and a few others. Now that I'm on the mend from the back surgery and feeling so much better, off all of that awful medication, and more like myself and motivated, I'm finally putting together my house since moving back to California almost 5 months ago. I just put together my closet yesterday and that's bad. What I'm doing is getting everything where I want it to be, including pictures, and then I'm going to paint and get the rest of the crown molding up and plantation shutters. There's enough carpet left over from the new carpet that I put into the KY house that I love (which finally and for real sold last week – yay!) to carpet my bedroom which will pull it all together nicely. It's the perfect room for me and I love it. I do need another rod in my closet. Then I'm going to tackle the kids' rooms. Mackenzie wants a coastal cottage feel to her room and I'm going to love doing that. Their closets also need some custom work done to them. Then there's the little stuff of changing knobs and lights, and then I'm done! I have until they come home for Christmas to do this so it's going to be a new adventure in painting or whatever daily, which doesn't leave me much time for crafting, but I am squeezing it in.
This card is for Mackenzie and I also used it for the Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper 240 that I've been hostessing lately. I chose Lisa Lynn Wright (llwright) as our Featured Stamper. I really loved the colors and layout of her Cherries to Cheer You card and made my Your Smile card. I kept the colors and tweaked the layout a bit, but changed everything else.
