The Papercrafting Magazine | Creating With Die-Cuts

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today with The Papercrafting Magazine focusing on how to create simply beautiful cards  with a ton of texture and dimension with a fabulous combination of textiles.

So … grab your favorite die-cuts and colors.

For today’s project, I brought in vellum and gold foil that really draws your eye to the focal point. I also have an easy tip how to adhere vellum without the adhesive showing through.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started off with my A2 top-folding card base.

I cut my Lost Lagoon CS mat from the largest Scalloped Contours Die and adhered this to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added an Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Vellum CS and cut that from the 2nd largest Scalloped Contour Die. I then ran the Vellum CS again through my die-cut machine with the Stitched Greenery Die that embossed the stitched flowers onto the Vellum CS. I then peeled off the release paper and adhered this to the previously adhered mat … which is Tip #1 that I have for you to adhere Vellum is using double-sided Adhesive Sheets.

I then picked out the 3 die-cuts that I wanted to use from Textured Floral Dies and cut them from Basic White Regular, Vellum, and Pretty Peacock CS, all of which were adhered with liquid adhesive using the dot method on the back of the leaves and leaving the ends free. Tip #2 for Vellum, only use adhesive where you can be sure you’re able to cover it up.

For final assembly, I cut my Gold Foil sentiment from Wanted to Say and adhered that to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Waves of Inspiration that was stamped onto Basic Black CS with Versamark, heat embossed with white powder, and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I didn’t feel the need to add anything else to the project because there is a lot going on, but not overwhelming.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
