Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #340 | Favorite Holiday Catalog Product(s)

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #340, where our challenge for you is to use your favorite Holiday Catalog product(s) on your project and hope that you join us!

I’ve been having a lot of fun with the Merry Bold & Bright Suite Collection and chose that today. I’m also loving the Online Exclusives Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper and Silver & Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper. The Sending Cheer Bundle was used for the holly berry cuts at the upper right corner. The clear sequins are from my stash and I do plan on keeping a lot more of these to use on various projects.

The Tartan Foil is beautifully dominant as a background which is why I kept the bulbs and ornament caps clean. The silver glimmer and clear sequins give this just the perfect amount of happy bling.

It was difficult to get a good impression on the Tartan Foil and I didn’t want a separate sentiment panel so I clear embossed the sentiment to prevent smudging and to brighten it up a little.

I made a slimline card much like this last week that you can view HERE with more detail as to how I layered and enlarged the bulbs to add more dimension.

As always, project specific supplies with basic supplies are below.

I started out with my A2 Basic White Thick CS base and cut my Pebbled Path CS and Tartan Foil down to size. I stamped the sentiment from Merry & Bright at the bottom left of the Tartan Foil in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and heat embossed with clear powder.

I went about die-cutting all of my pieces from all of my CS.

  1. The holly berry die-cut is from Sending Cheer Dies and cut from Old Olive and berries in Bubble Bath CS. The berries were adhered to the leaf with liquid adhesive.
  2. The ornament caps from Merry & Bright Dies were cut from Melon Mambo, Parakeet Party, and Balmy Blue CS. The hook was trimmed off with my Paper Snips.
  3. For the bulbs, Parakeet Party was adhered to Old Olive CS, Sweet Sorbet was adhered to Poppy Parade CS, and Pool Party was adhered to Balmy Blue CS. The respective ornament caps were adhered to the bulbs with liquid adhesive.
  4. The bulb lines were cut from Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper.

For final assembly, Tartan Foil was adhered to the Pebbled Path CS with liquid adhesive and then adhered to the card base.

The bulb lines were adhered to the card base with the holly berry adhered with liquid adhesive.

The Christmas bulbs were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Clear sequins were scattered about and adhered with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
