GDP358 Sketch Challenge

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a sketch challenge over at Global Design Project. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for several new announcements!

Today’s project features the Splendid Day Suite Collection and Cottage Wreaths for the sentiment.

My space was quite the mess after this card. I feel like I pulled everything out mixing and matching our products today.

I know this one is busy, but it wasn’t difficult to put together at all.

I used Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils on the line art florals that really pops.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding card base in Pool Party and layered on the Basic White Regular CS with Seal adhesive.

I cut the image panel to size and using the cap of the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker, drops of ink were splattered. This panel was then adhered to the card base with Seal adhesive.

I punched out a Decorative Circle and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the splatters EF from Stripes & Splatters EF. I inked the edge of the circle with a Sponge Dauber in Smoky Slate ink. I sized up the circle on the image panel so I could lay down the gorgeous Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon as shown. I used a piece of Scotch Tape to secure the ribbon.

I stamped the sentiment from Cottage Wreaths onto a pieced of Crumb Cake CS with Versamark and then heat set with white powder and our Heat Tool. I cut the sentiment to size using my Paper Trimmer and then punched the left side with the Banner Punch.

Next, I stamped the the floral image onto Basic White Thick CS x2 with Smoky Slate and left the image on the door of the Stamparatus. The florals were colored with Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils to deepen the color. I paired up Petal Pink + Calypso Coral and Highland Heather + Gorgeous Grape. A Blender Pen was used to gently move around the Watercolor Pencil color. I then re-inserted the images that I colored back into the Stamparatus and re-stamped the image with Smoky Slate again to crisp up the image lines after coloring. This is something that I always do. The florals were cut from their coordinating Splendid Stems Dies.

The bumblebee from Splendid Day was stamped onto Basic Right Regular CS in Basic Gray then cut from it’s coordinating die.

The planter die is standalone that was cut using the suite’s designer series paper. Another standalone die was used to cut the Soft Sea Foam CS open sprig.

For final assembly, I adhered the Decorative Circle to the center of the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I put together my floral arrangement as shown and I adhered to the planter with Scotch Tape on the back. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of floral arrangement and planter that was adhered to the Decorative Circle.

I adhered the Open Leaf Trinket to the planter with our Fine Tip Pen.

A Stampin’ Dimensional was added to the far right of the sentiment strip with the left side being tucked under the circle and ribbon.

The bumblebee was adhered with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

One large and small Elegant Faceted Gem were adhered to the card base.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
