Paper Craft Crew Mid-Week Inspiration, Watercolor Thank You

Hello there and welcome to the Paper Craft Crew Mid-Week Inspiration! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, don't retire your Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog stamps, designer series paper, or anything else for that matter, to the garage just yet.

Before we move along, I wanted to get my colors and measurements right compared to what I said in the video, and a few other things.

1.  Delightful Dijon, not Delightful Honey.

2.  DSP large panel is 5-3/8 x 4-1/8, not 4-1/4.

3.  I know I need a fill. It's driving me nuts too. However, I refuse to go out on the weekend after Christmas when everybody is returning everything and the traffic. My nails can wait until tomorrow.

4.  After living in upstate New York for 15 years of my adult life, I've come to the brutally honest realization that I have a sorta kinda partial New York accent. I'm from California and I am now back in California. I didn't think I picked one up. I did. It's so obvious in my videos when I edit them and listen to myself…especially when I say "not." It's "not," not "nawt." I'm over it. There is worse – like Boston or Jersey.

Today's card is an extremely clean and simple card that packs a punch inspired by Susan Itell at Simple Stampin. The sketch is timeless and there are so many variations and options that you have to dress the card up or down. Since the sketch is so very basic, Susan incorporated score lines into her sentiment panel to give the card a little something, although the gorgeous designer series paper still steals the show. We had some beautiful watercolor-style DSP in the Holiday Catalog and it continues over to the Spring Occasions too. For my sentiment panel, I did heat embossing, as well as score lines. These are the kind of cards that you can make in front of the TV and are easy to mass produce and assemble.

I ended up making 2 videos, both are 15 minutes, YAY, and focus on Thank You cards that can be used for Christmas or any other occasion. The sketch was so easy that I quickly made 4 different cards in less than 15 minutes. In this video, my main room light was having a psychedelic flickering fit or something, all 18 bulbs. I was nauseated within 10 seconds that I turned the light on with an instant headache; so my lighting is not as good as it usually is.

All of us at the Paper Craft Crew would like to thank you for a wonderful 2015 and we look forward to seeing you in 2016 for new challenges. Be sure to stop by the design team's blogs and leave them a comment. They all make wonderful cards to inspire you every week and I'm sure they would love to hear from you.

Below are my cards and the video. God bless and thank you for stopping by to visit me today. Enjoy!
