One Happy Carrot

Good morning and I hope that you're having a good Friday so far. I'm in the usual mad rush to get this posted before the "face lift" starts on the house and I have a team of construction people here. We had a very harsh winter that did some damage to some of the outside structures in a cosmetic way, hence the face lift. I could probably get one myself for the amount of money that I'm going to have to put into this that somebody else will benefit from. Sigh. That always seems to be the story of somebody else enjoying your sweat equity and checkbook. Even at the new house in CA, while we saved almost a million dollars, it needs some TLC as it's been vacant for at least 6 months. Merry Maids will probably take one look at the house and run. It's just dirty on the inside and needs a good cleaning and I'm not doing it either. After that, there's some small yard work items, I'd like to put plantation shutters up in the bedrooms as we have them here and love them. There are already plantation shutters in the main living areas. They lend such an elegance to any house. The carpet needs a good steam clean and I'd also like to paint. After painting this house, which is getting some rooms repainted to more of a neutral color, I'm definitely outsourcing this task at the new house. I'm pretty much Martha Stewart'd out. I think I'll start sharing some pictures if you if you don't mind.

I wanted to share a fun quick and easy card with you that I've managed to make, which took me about 10 hours because I'm just running positively ragged. I do hope that you enjoy it though and thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and listen to me whine and complain. Please keep me in your prayers because I really need them. God bless you and have a wonderful day in the Lord! Today's Treasure: 2 Corinthians 12: 7-10

  1. A fun card – brought a great smile to my face 🙂  Praying that you house transactions are soon completed, and bring glory to God!!

  2. Cindy, blessings and abundant joy this day!  Been Martha Stewarting to the point of sharing looks real good!  Now, how wonderful color is able to be changed / muted.  We went all white and feel very squashed in beige toward orangie mustard beige. . . . . know a bit about your reactions.  Our children's new home is 'linen' outlined in white door and window border boards but for one wall in each room drenched in a rich dark color.  To balance that choice more led lighting was installed to stay within the Energy Star Home rating.                                                                                   You are smart, totally smart, to know what needs attention and where work is being done.  Praises Be to The One supplier and suplanter of all honor and glory edifying His Own.                                                                          mt23stamperatyahoo                                                                                       Keep Looking UP!
