Hello Superman!

Hi friends. Here is another sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! 2013 Sale-A-Bration Brochure and Spring Catalog. I used a stamp set from each publication so you can see exactly how versatile these stamp sets are.

Is this the coolest card or what? The sentiment is perfect with the image! I also entered this card into a fabulous new challenge that I found of Inspired by Stampin' Inspiration Challenge. I played in IBSIC38 (the colors were red, purple, cream/white) and this card won too! How exciting is that. This week's challenge of IBSIC39 has a lovely picture and beautiful colors of sage/green, red, white/cream. I love the picture so much that I see myself CASEing that!

My card was extremely easy to make. You just cut your A2 card with Whisper White, cut another piece of Whisper White card stock at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8. Using your Simply Scored tool, place the smaller Whisper White panel onto the scoreboard with the 5-3/8 side going across the top. I scored every 1/4" starting with 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and then 1 inch. Card stock does actually have a front and a back so make sure that the "back" is facing up toward you. I say this because I wanted my score lines to pop out. If you want them indented, just turn it over.

I stamped that fabulous phone booth image from Feeling Sentimental, which is available in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure on January 3, 2013, free with a $50 purchase, using Cherry Cobbler ink. From the Oh, Hello stamp set, which is available in the Spring Catalog, available on January 3, 2013, and is part of the Tea for Two Product Suite, I stamped the sentiment using Wisteria Wonder, which is a color that I do not use very often, to the left of the phone booth image. I almost went to Elegant Eggplant but appreciated the softness of the Wisteria Wonder to soften up the Cherry Cobbler a bit since it's a fairly large image and that's a strong color for balance.

I sprinkled clear heat embossing powder over both images and gave it a quick blast of my heat tool just to shine it up a bit, although the new firm foam ink pads really don't need that. I then cut two lengths of Baker's Twine, one each in Cherry Cobbler and Wisteria Wonder, and tied it around the top of the card into a bow on the right. To balance that out, I adhered some Basic Jewels: Rhinestones, in 3 different sizes to where my card stock is scored at the bottom left. I put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and adhered it to my card base. This card took me less than 5 minutes to make and I think it's just so awesome, again, because the image and sentiment, although from two different stamp sets and two different catalogs, work beautifully together!

I hope that you enjoy this card and make a few of them yourself. God bless you and thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today.
