Clean and Simple Baby Card + Card Drive + Paper Craft Crew Challenge

Hello there! I hope you are having a great day. I saw a card by Shari Carroll, who is an amazing artist in every way possible and knew I had to make my own version of it. My cousin has a baby coming in November so I am going to send her this card.

I started out using Papertrey Ink Stamper's Select White card stock for an A2-size side-folding card base. I die-cut and layered on another white panel using My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 for my stitch detail and adhered that directly to the card base. I stamped the baby Onesie image from Papertrey Ink Sweet Dreams stamp set 3x onto Lemon Tart, Melon Berry and Spring Moss card stock with the coordinating ink color and heat embossed the outline with clear embossing powder. I die-cut out the Onesies with their coordinating die-cut. I punched out 3 hearts using the above-named colors with a Stampin' Up! heart punch and colored each heart with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen that matched closely with my card stock colors and set them aside to dry. Once dry, I adhered each heart to the center of the Onesie with a glue dot. I adhered the Onesies to the card with foam dots for dimension. To embellish my card, I pulled out some enamel dots by Doodlebug Design Ink Sprinkles from their Spring Assortment in various sizes and strategically placed them around the card.

I'm still struggling with my creative drought and will have another card for you tomorrow that was completely inspired by Tami Mayberry where she used aluminum on her card. I used foil card stock instead. It's a beautiful card and I fell in love with it instantly and knew I had to make it with my own spin on it. Tami is a clean and simple gal, but boy can she rock anything that she creates.

After this, I'm going to start CASEing myself again and hopefully that will help me get out of this slump. I have no idea why I'm in one. Maybe I just need to sit down and so something without a purpose. Clear as mud?

Please do not forget to enter my July challenge and card drive and be sure to stop by the Paper Craft Crew today for the new challenge that went up. The card drive is going on over there too. As always, there is some great blog candy for you. We also have a new design team member of Tenia Nelson! Tenia and I go back a LONG way and I'm excited to be working with her again.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today to visit me. I hope you have a great day and God bless!
