Whimsy & Wonder Suite Collection Inspiration

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a card created with one of my favorite suite collections in the Holiday Catalog of Whimsy & Wonder.

I am also sharing with you how I created the inside of this project. I used the long neglected Shimmery White CS on this card rather than the usual Basic White. My inspiration came from Teneale Williams. I used different designer series paper, embellishments, and card stock.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding card base in Mossy Meadow. For the designer series paper mat, I cut a piece of a very neglected color of Shimmery White CS, which was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals during the assembly process.

I cut my chosen patterns from Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper with a Polished Pink strip of CS to pretty up the DSP seam, all of which were adhered to the Shimmery White CS with Seal.

I die-cut 3 Polished Pink stand-alone tree dies from Christmas Trees Dies and sized up on a piece of Shimmery White CS to use a the die and sentiment mat. The two background trees were adhered with liquid adhesive with the front tree adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a bow with Linen Thread and adhered this to lower tree with a Mini Glue Dot. The die/sentiment panel was adhered to the DSP panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As you can already tell, this project is beautifully layered up with dimension. I stamped our sentiment onto Olive Olive CS with Versamark and white powder heat embossed. I went outside of the suite collection color palette using Old Olive and Sahara Sand, which complimented the suite colors perfectly!

I cut two of the same pattern from our In Color and Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP of Polished Pink and Sahara Sand. I adhered the Polished Pink to the bottom of the Sahara Sand with liquid adhesive and adhered this to the die/sentiment panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Old Olive sentiment panel and adhered this to the top of the DSP.

The inside of this card is just as amazingly detailed as the front. Our image and sentiment panel is Shimmery White CS. Two more trees were cut from Mossy Meadow and adhered in the same manner as described above. The sentiment was stamped onto Blushing Bride CS with Polished Pink ink and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched a banner from Sahara Sand DSP from Banners: Pick a Punch and adhered this to the top left with liquid adhesive. I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the mini lasso in Basic White from our Baker’s Twine Essential Pack, topped off with a large Polished Pink Square Gem.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
