CAS Birthday Blessings Card

CASTuesRotatingBannerHello there! Today’s card is for my Clean and Simple Tuesday Series and for the CardMaker Magazine Facebook Challenge to make a card with autumnal colors. This is pretty cool. I posted this card on my Instagram yesterday, but had not posted it over at CardMaker yet and they asked me if they could post it over on their Facebook page.

I am horrible about keeping up with social media except for Instagram. My FB Fan Page is so neglected!

I broke out my Hero Arts Vintage Ombre Pigment Ink Pad again to stamp the beautiful foliage from the Gina K Designs Stamp TV Kit of Birthday Essentials. Be extremely mindful when using this particular pigment ink pad with your MISTI and do not let the ink get on the clear cover of the MISTI. It will stain. Ask me how I know. I haven’t tried using any other brands of pigment ink with my MISTI, but can definitely make this statement. The vintage ink pad is a lovely, very rich color and shimmery.

I cut down a piece of GKD Pure Luxury Ivory Heavyweight Card Stock to an A2 landscape top-folding card. Then I cut a piece of Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil Card Stock to 5 x 3-7/8. I cut a piece of GKD Pure Luxury Ivory Layering Weight Card Stock to 4-7/8 x 3-3/4 and scored two lines at the bottom at the 5/8 and 3/4 mark. I treated the entire panel with my anti-static tool and stamped the foliage image from the GKD Birthday Essentials Stamp TV Kit using the above-mentioned ink. I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the images and heat embossed them. I stamped my sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed that with gold powder. I then adhered all of my panels together to the base of the card.

When I was taking the pictures for this card…the camera picks up everything, I noticed a smudge on the center foliage towards the left. Oddly enough, I used a basic eraser to remove it and it came off! Pigment ink. Sometimes there’s just stuff that I don’t understand crafting, but I’m glad this card cleaned up very nicely.

Super easy and very pretty card that took less than 10 minutes. This is another card that can be mass produced for Christmas. Just change the colors! They layout and simplicity of this card allows you to use it for any occasion and still can be easily mass produced assembly line style.
