You’re a Peach Birthday Card

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a birthday card created with the You’re a Peach Suite Collection.

I have been having way too much fun with this suite and sat down for an afternoon to create the projects that I’ve featured this week. I’m on Week 3-4 of solid rain, no sun, cool temps, and had to cheer myself up.

The sentiments in this suite are perfect for any occasion having multiple fonts and with the perfect die-cut frame that you’ve seen me use on my projects this week, really makes it all work.

Again, this was such an easy card to create, despite how busy it looks. I used the same colors as yesterday, but added in 2 additional greens of Mint Macaron and Soft Succulent + a Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie combination. The Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Mango Melody and Rich Razzleberry were used as embellishments. Vellum and heat embossing step this up a little bit.

On the bottom of the Vellum, I used the Pear Pizzazz square pattern from the Subtles 6 x 6 DSP, that I forgot to list in the Supplies. All of the images are adhered to the Vellum with Mini and regular Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I started out with a Thick A2 Basic White card base and layered on 2 patterns of designer series paper from You’re a Peach to cover the entire card front. I cut a piece of Vellum CS and a strip of Pear Pizzazz Subtles DSP at the bottom of the Vellum. The images, DSP, and sentiment on the Vellum panel allow me to use Seal and Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the Vellum panel to the card base. I used Seal on the heat embossed sentiment, which was not a good decision, as you can see it on the picture. I always use teeny tiny dots of Tombow Mono behind the heat embossed sentiment to adhere and cover the adhesive. I thought I might be able to get away with using Seal, but, you can see the adhesive.

The leaves were stamped in Soft Sea Foam with Pear Pizzazz that was applied with a Sponge Dauber around the edges and Mint Macaron with Soft Succulent applied in the same way, as are all of the images with the next darker color up of ink applied with a Sponge Dauber around the edges.

The peaches were stamped in combinations of Pale Papaya with Calypso Coral, Mango Melody with Pumpkin Pie, and Poppy Parade.

As you can see, there is terrific dimension and texture on this card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
