Wisteria Wishes Meets Candy Cane Dies

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a project featuring the Wisteria Wishes Bundle incorporating the new Candy Cane Dies, specifically using what I refer to as a ‘cover plate’ that I’m a huge fan of.

The Candy Cane Dies are part of the double Sweetest Christmas Suite Collection on pages 8-11 in the Holiday Catalog.

I altered this with my Paper Snips and next time around, I’m going to eliminate the large diagonal cut for a completely different look. This is such a versatile die-cut and is pictured below at the far bottom left.

I started out with an A2 Highland Heather card base and cut another piece of Highland Heather CS t0 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder adhering to the card base with liquid adhesive.

I cut the ‘cover plate’ die from Candy Cane Dies from Basic White Regular CS. Using my Paper Snips, I cut the small diagonal pieces out. I then adhered it to the card base with liquid adhesive.

I stamped all of the images onto Basic White CS and used the coordinating dies from Wisteria Wishes Bundle to cut.

The large leafy image was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink. The 3 small leaves were stamped in Pool Party. The wisteria image is a 2-step stamp. The solid image was stamped in Highland Heather with the detail image in Gorgeous Grape.

The sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape onto Basic White CS and banner punched.

For final assembly, I first adhered the large leafy image to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals tucking the left side of the stem under the ‘cover plate.’ The wisterias were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as were the Pool Party leaves and sentiment.

Five Highland Heather Pastel Pearls were scattered about the card front.
