Thanksgiving Wreath, 1 Timothy 4:4

Good morning everybody. I pray that you're having a blessed day in the Lord and rest in him as well today. I kept my word on last week's post to slow down and spend more time thinking about God and praying to him, and it's been a productive and happy week. I hope that today you will try the same. Today's scripture verse at Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges 60 is 1 Timothy 4:4: For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

Everything God has created is good. Note how the verse doesn't say "God has let happen." It specifically says that what he has created is good. We're going to take a little walk on the wild side for a Christian, but I'd like you to hear me out. God created marijuana – yep, can you believe that? There's thousands of medicinal purposes for this plant but the ONE THING that we abuse it for is to alter our minds because we are sinful creatures. If there's something to be found out of good that God created, we'll find the bad right off the bat. As a result of that, marijuana is illegal and thousands of sick people are being denied the use of this medicine because of sin. Marijuana works wonders for those with cancer to help their appetites and a host of other medicinal purposes. Those struggling with health issues would certainly receive this gift with thanksgiving! God has also created thousands of other plants that we abuse, which is really sad when somebody who truly needs it can't have it. That is how everything God creates is good. He creates it for us and for our good. We're the ones who add the "bad" factor to it.

Your challenge today is to make a Thanksgiving or Thank You card. Don't forget to take the time to visit our generous sponsor today, Doodle Pantry, and also to see what the rest of the design team has created for you! God bless and have a wonderful day in the Lord.
