SUOC #319 | Galentine’s Day

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #319, where our theme is Galentine’s Day and invite you to join us.

For today’s project, Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis were my color choices for my Galentine’s Day cards. I used the rectangle from Watercolor Shapes to create the image panel backdrop by repeatedly stamping off the color. There’s a lot of texture and dimension in these monochromatic cards that are so simple to make.

There’s a lot of order to these cards, which I will narrate to you.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out by cutting all of my cardstock to the measurements below with the Sweet Sorbet and Orchid card bases and image panel mats, along with the Basic White CS panels.

I embossed the card base mat of Basic White Regular CS using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder that was adhered to the card base with Seal Adhesive.

For the image panels, I started stamping the rectangle from Watercolor Shapes, which is a fantastic stamp set, at about the 2″ center mark on the image panel at full strength. I repeated stamping off with the 2nd impression above the mid-center, the 3rd under the center, the 4th at the top, and the 5th at the bottom. I used a Clear Block D to stamp the image.

The sentiment from Country Bouquet was stamped below the center rectangle in Memento Tuxedo Black.

The image panel was adhered to the image mat with Seal Adhesive.

I cut the large floral from Meadow Dies from 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper utilizing the ombre design with the dark color at the bottom transitioning to light at the top.

Both florals were adhered to the image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For final assembly, I adhered the image panel to the image mat with Seal Adhesive.

I took a length of coordinating metallic ribbon for both cards and bow tied it around the image panel over the stem of the floral.

The image panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Five Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were scattered about the image panel to embellish of 1 large and 4 small.

For the inside of the card, the sentiment and image panel was cut from Basic White Regular CS measuring the same as the card base embossed panel.

Scrap In Color Glimmer Paper was adhered to the bottom with Seal Adhesive.

The sentiments from Country Floral were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

From my stash of alcohol marker vellum paper, I punched out 2 hearts that coordinated with Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis from the County Bouquet Punch and adhered these to the inside with liquid adhesive.

These were super easy and fun to make and again, endless color possibilities with a timeless sketch.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
