SUOC 261: Autumn/Fall

October 27, 2020 by Cindy Coutts +

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for SUOC 261, where we are celebrating autumn/fall. Go liberal with this challenge as the season has many occasions … one of which is apparently snow, as I’m watching it fall … no pun intended. On the plus side, it will be 60 next week. I’m really over 2020, right?

I made fall card using the Jar of Flowers Bundle (jar stamp and punch) with the Sunflowers Dies (sprigs). I started out with a top-folding A2, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock. As always, your shipping list and measurements are below.

I cut a piece of Gold Foil to 4 x 5-1/4. From the center of that sheet, I die-cut a few of the sprigs and cut the rest from another piece of foil. I cut a piece of Regular Very Vanilla cardstock to 3-7/8 x 5-3/8 and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Old World Paper EF, and adhered that to the top of the Gold Foil panel with Seal+.

The mason jar was stamped onto vellum cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and punched out with the coordinating punch. I lined the very outside of the jar with Tear N Tape, which I forgot on the supply list, leaving the top free to insert in the sprigs, then adhered to the image panel. I added Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the back leaves, except for the top 3 leaves or so, and arranged them as shown. I took 2 lengths of linen thread, tied a bow, and adhered it to the top of the mason jar with a Mini Glue Dot.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the image panel and adhered it to the card base.

This is one of those cards that doesn’t need a sentiment on the front. The Linen Thread keeps the project rustic-looking with so many other possibilities. You can gold heat emboss the jar and use our Very Vanilla Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon. The embossed cardstock adds a lot of texture, as well as the leaves that I used my Take Your Pick to lift up the tops.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless. I will try to sneak in something later this week for you!
