SUOC 210: Thanksgiving Table

Hello there y’all! Today over at SUO Challenges (SUOC210), we are having a Thanksgiving Table challenge. This can include your invitations, table place cards, silverware pockets, centerpiece, and guest gifts, home decor; this is a great stretch your imagination challenge. We hope that you will join us.

I made a small ensemble of an invitation, place card and a candle guest gift, keeping it all very simple with colors I normally wouldn’t use together of Balmy Blue, Mango Melody, and Rich Razzleberry. My brown is Soft Suede. However, coupled with autumn traditional color decor, it all works.

I started with making an invitation card from Wishing You Well, as with all images. I love this set and the DisTinktive design. The sentiment is from I’ll Be Home. I should have kept my font uniform by chaining together the calligraphy letters from Make a Difference and eliminating two extra sets, but I got lazy. Burlap Ribbon and a wooden button from Tropical Elements has the same shape of the leaves on the image and I thought that they tied in nicely together.

Now that I look at this while writing the blog post, I’d like to be able to change the image on either the place card or gift tag. I think it would compliment the trio perfectly if the main image of each piece was a different color. I might be back with updated pictures. What do you think?

I needed to tie in the Mango Melody so I used Bokeh Dots stamped off once.

Next, I have this darling place card that is stamped with the main image and again accented with a wooden leaf. You can really see the DisTinktive elements with the color variations. The whimsy calligraphy is from Make a Difference and this is also where I should have tied my fonts together.

I have literally hauled this at least a decade old apple pie candle around with me to 3 different states running the full gamut of temperatures stored in a garage … and here I am! Anyhow, I tied in the Burlap Ribbon, used the Tag Topper Scallop Punch to tie a piece of Linen Thread around the plastic of the tag and bowed off the Burlap. Balmy Blue was used for the image bow. All sentiments are Rich Razzleberry.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today. I hope this project inspires you. Have a great day and God bless.
