I would like to introduce to you a brand new, very cool stamp set by Pink Persimmon called Hello Vintage Girl, and here's the set!
The card that I made for this release is totally out of the box for me and I'm still not quite sure how to describe it. What I did was take actual Simplicity pattern paper and stamped my image onto it and colored it in with Copic markers. I then adhered it to a piece of white card stock and cut it with pinking shears. After that, I machine stitched the edges of the image. It's a great girlfriend card and also great for paper piecing. When I was coloring her blouse using a Red-Violet Copic marker, I went out of the line a tiny bit because your marker will bleed on this paper so it's a little bit of an art to keep it inside the lines by not coloring near the lines. A Colorless Blender actually picked up that ink and I was very surprised that it would on tissue paper because I was just about done coloring the image and you know if something's going to go wrong, it's when you're almost done, so I could just see smeared red ink all over the place attempting to pick it up with the Colorless Blender, but it worked great! There's super slight residue but I really have to look for it on the card, even though I know where it is.
I hope this inspires you today and it's a set that you'll have a lot of fun with, so go and color!
I love how bright she is… and the belt bling is perfect! The pinking shears are a great touch and coordinate so well with the stitching. Beautiful job, CIndy!
Out of the box? It looks great! Bright and fun!
