MTCC28 – Old School Theme with Pretty Pumpkins Bundle + Well Defined

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for the new card challenge at #Make the Cards Challenge, MTCC28, where we have a theme of old school and hope that you join us!

For this challenge, I used an embossing folder, Linen Thread, and cardstock layers. As always, your Supplies and Instructions are below.

I started out with an A2 Very Vanilla Thick card base and cut a piece of Very Vanilla Regular CS that I ran through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I used my Paper Snips to rough up the edges and then used a Blending Brush to add Cinnamon Cider ink around the edges. This panel was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a piece of the Cork DSP and added Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral patterns at the bottom of the Cork image panel from You’re a Peach DSP.

The pumpkins were stamped in Smoky Slate onto Very Vanilla Thick CS and colored with Calypso Coral for the 2 smaller pumpkins, Balmy Blue for the center large pumpkin, Cinnamon Cider for the pumpkin stems, and Soft Sea Foam for the leaves, all with Stampin’ Blends. This panel was cut with its coordinating die from Pumpkins and adhered to the Cork DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment panel was stamped on Basic White Regular CS in Early Espresso ink that was punched at the right for the V-notch. I tied Linen Thread around the left side x4 and then tied a cheater’s bow in the center. The sentiment panel was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As you can tell, I have mixed my neutrals and it’s complete okay to do so. The Basic White CS sentiment really pops off of the card and ties in the You’re a Peach DSP. This is another way to add a bit of spice to an otherwise clean and simple card.
