Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #333 | Back to School

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #333, where our theme is Back to School and hope that you join us! If you are interested in a video tutorial, please let me know. This project would be difficult to narrate.

I made an easel Post-It Note Pad holder for today’s challenge from Misty Moonlight CS.

TheEveryday Thanks was used for the pencil and sentiment atop the Post-It Note Pad. The colorful stamped sentiment is from Just My Type.

The Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper was perfect for the notebook paper pattern. The paper clip is from the early 2000s, as I do keep these types of embellishments.

After creating my easel holder out of Misty Moonlight CS and assembled, I went about stamping, coloring, fussy cutting, and die-cutting my images, then adhering the designer series paper as shown with Seal.

I stamped the large pencil image from Everyday Thanks using Smoky Slate ink onto Basic White Thick CS. When coloring with Stampin’ Blends, you want to use thick CS as it can handle the alcohol-based properties of the markers. Be sure to leave the image on the lid of your stamping tool so you can come back to re-stamp the image after coloring to crisp up the lines. The pencil was fussy cut with my Paper Snips.

Eraser: Bubble Bath

Metal: Dark Smoky Slate

Pencil: Daffodil Delight

Shaving: Ivory

Pencil tip: Light Smoky Slate

I pulled out my Classic Stampin’ Spots to ink up the ‘hello’ from Just My Type in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, and Night of Navy. Just now I realized that I transposed the colors in the “L” for ROYGBIV. Ooohhhh ….. hopefully I can switch them without damaging the holder. I have a full set of Stampin’ Spots from my Paper Pumpkin subscription and use these for small images that require masking. I used a 3/4″ circle die-cut from Paper Florist. These are easy enough to fussy cut out; however, if you have a 3/4″ circle punch, that will work. I adhered the ‘HELLO’ to the top of the notebook paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I had some 3 x 3 white Post-It Notes and stamped one of the sentiments from Everyday Thanks at the top of the Post-It Note.

I adhered the pencil with Stampin’ Dimensionals and used the paperclip to embellish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
