Stampin’ Up! + Paper Craft Crew + Sending Love to Wine & Dine Your Valentine Series + Video!

Hello there friends and a very Happy Saturday to you. No more fancy graphics at the beginning of the blog post. I am officially declaring anything and everything remotely related to love and Valentine’s Day, down to the colors, of appearing on my blog until at least until January 1, 2018, thank God. BUT, I do have one more gift treat to show you, then that’s really it.

Today’s card is also for the Mid-Week Inspiration Series at the Paper Craft Crew. We would love to have you join us this week. Our theme is love. The current challenge closes soon, but we have another one coming up on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

Now for some drama! Last night, I was actually working on another card for the Paper Craft Crew, but I was opening up one of our 1″ cubes with a brand new and very sharp craft knife – towards me. I know better. We are talking an inch. I have no idea how it made itself all the way to my left pinky finger when I was using the blade with my right hand. I ended up slicing open my finger up something awful. 6 stitches in a pinky finger! It was bad. Another .8 mm and I would have sliced right through my tendon and that would have been tragic. It would have required surgery. I’m so happy my garbage can was right next to me and I just put my hand over the garbage bag and let her bleed. Grabbed a few baby wipes then ran into the kitchen trying to find a red towel that I don’t really like. Got that done. Made a few texts and phone calls, but I guess last night was party night for everybody, so I ended up driving myself to urgent care. They took one look and told me to go to the ER since I cut myself down to the bone. Told me that I needed a ride and I since I couldn’t get one, I drove myself, which I really had no business doing since my head was swimming and I had my air on high so I wouldn’t pass out. It was not fun. You know how the doctors and nurses will tell you every. single. step. that they are doing? I’m like just don’t tell me and let’s get this over with. I don’t want to know when I’m going to get stung and how often you are inserting that needle right into the middle of my injury to numb it up. Fortunately the ER was practically empty on a Saturday night and I was done with all of this in no less than 3 hours from the cut. Once I was safely home, I grabbed 2 Tylenol and Celebrex (Motrin on steroids). I had texted my neighbor earlier who was not home, but is a cardiac nurse. In the meantime, she had come home and saw me drive into the garage and was wise enough to bring over a bottle of Tequila and I had a chaser with the Tylenol and Motrin. It worked out in the end. That was not the Saturday night I was expecting, nor was it welcomed. If you follow me on IG, I put up the cleanest picture that I had and it’s not for the faint of heart.

Now, back to my regularly scheduled blog post…..

I am the epitome of the word SINGLE so I do not have to worry about any anniversary anything because there are no more. I think it’s sad and not even funny with single people who are calling Valentine’s Day, “Single Awareness Day.” It’s offensive…and that sounded so millennial and tragically terrible. Is that not the most oxymoronic phrase you’ve ever heard in your life? I do not need a special day to remember that I am single. I remember every single day that I am single without being reminded or told. Whoever made that up wasn’t just right in the head or insanely politically correct, and I’m betting it’s a craziness of both.

Check out my card today!

I am so excited to share with you my very first voiceover video! I think I did pretty darn awesome! I’m moving up a little bit in the tech world. I just have to get the intro, music and fades mastered, and I think I might have finally achieved what I’ve been wanting to for years. The original video was 28 minutes and by speeding it up 3x and doing a voiceover, it knocked down the video time to 8-1/2 minutes and you didn’t miss a thing! This is so cool and I can’t believe I just did not take the 5 minutes to do this before, for years and years! Even better, sit down now, when I took my pictures, I used real props, like chocolate and sequins!

Once again, I have used the almost the entire Sending Love Product Suite. There is so many year-round images and everything from this Product Suite. It’s a keeper for me. It’s not just for Valentine’s Day cards either.

I’ve made some friendship cards and other types of cards too. I am not in the habit of posting cards or projects that I send out to my friends, who are my family, and they became that way by their absolute and unconditional with unwavering support and love through the years, especially when I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus at the same time, which took the doctors 1-1/2 years to finally diagnose and I pulled off a cross country move during all of this. They really rallied and stood by my side. My friends did not “throw me under the bus,” as my beloved and so missed father would tell me. A lot of things that dad told me before he died did not make a lot of sense, but I’m glad I listened to him because everything makes perfect sense now. He knew. He was right and at least I was able to tell him that before he passed, as much as I wanted to disbelieve him, he was still 100% right.

Let’s get to my card, shall we? The video explains it all so there’s really not much to tell you, but show you some pictures, which I will do right now of some of the final pictures of this very fun and masculine Valentine’s Day card. I don’t think it’s too girly. There’s enough masculine items on the card, such as the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, the white splatters and the focal point of the card. If you CASE this card using Glassine in the open envelope, please leave me a comment with a link to your blog post showing me how you used Glassine on your Valentine’s Day masculine cards. I would definitely love to see what you’ve made!

Look below how beautiful your heat embossed images and sentiments can be by using fine detailed embossing powder. That’s the key.

This card is also for CardMaker Magazine’s weekly Card Corner Challenge to use hearts on your project, so this is a multitask card for my series and a challenge. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter. I’ve really enjoyed them.
