Simple Saturday

February 23, 2019 by Cindy Coutts +

Hello there y’all! Simple Saturday seems to be a thing lately, so I thought that I would color up this image from Humming Along with Blends today.

In my over-edited picture, this looks like a hot mess, but in real life, it does like very nice. The base is Petal Pink with a Poppy Parade mat. I’m so happy this color was brought back, despite being retired for several years. It was a badly needed red.

The image is laid down with Memento Tuxedo Black and markers used were L/D Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Petal Pink, and Poppy Parade. One thing I love about the alcohol Blends is you can simply color any accent that you would like with fast drying and no smearing. I used Clear Epoxy Shapes and Dark Pure Poppy to shade. The outline inside the outer petals is Pink Pirouette, which is not a current color, per se, but it is in the Blends to use for facial enhancements.

A birthday sentiment was added and I adhered it all together. Thank you so much for stopping by today for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
