Paper Maniac Theme of the Week…..

is really Halloween, but since I don’t participate in those activities, I don’t have any stamps or anything like that to do a Halloween card, so the Queen Maniac told me that it was okay to make a fall card, and so I made one. This is too cute. I used the new Simple Blessings stamp set from Unity (you’ve really got to get this one) and it’s awesome with all sorts of pumpkins and leaves and swirly girly stuff in it. I combined old and new In-Colors from Stampin’ Up! for my paper with Pacific Point and Soft Suede. My designer paper is Recollections Autumn, which I think it Michael’s own brand of cardstock. I stamped my pumpkin with Dusty Durango onto Very Vanilla and then colored it in with about 5 different Prismacolor pencils using the odorless mineral spirits technique and cut and dry embossed it using my oval Nestabilities and scalloped oval Nestabilities in Soft Suede. I tied the new striped SU ribbon, which I totally love, around the left side of the card and adhered Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie corduroy buttons to the ribbon. This card is cut a bit differently than the rest. The left panel closes at 3-1/4 and the right is 2-1/4. The inside of the card is just plain adorable and I usually don’t put sentiments on the inside of my cards until I know what I want to use it for, so this is blank for now.

Don’t forget to go over to Christian Paper Crafts either for my Fun on Friday challenge!

What do you think? Thank you for stopping by my blog and reading. I really appreciate your support and it means a lot to me. Have a very blessed weekend. Today’s Treasure: It’s really an encouragement to Christians out there but might not seem like it as it’s based on Acts 12:21-24. We all know that Herod was just an arrogant person and his own people considered him a god. Because Herod did not give praise to the true God, an angel of the Lord struck him down. Herod didn’t die when he was struck down. He went down, was eaten by worms, and THEN he died. Pretty grueling death, huh? But what I really want you to focus on is that the word of God continued to increase and spread. When you talk to others about Jesus and they blow you off, treat you badly, call you names or just think that you’re a Jesus freak, that’s okay. No matter what obstacles we face as Christians, we can be assured that the word of God never returns void and will always continue to increase and spread, no matter what secular society does or rules as law. God will not be put into a box. It might seem that way now, but there will be a day when every knee will bow.
