Mixing Various Embellishments on Cards

CASTuesdaysGraphicHi crafters. Today's card really pushes the limits of clean and simple, but I do have a video about mixing and matching various types of embellishments on cards or whatever your paper thing is. I did keep the video short, for me, of a little less than 30 minutes. I'm trying to talk less and work faster. Ha! I will get there one day. But, get this, finally, after 2-1/2 years of blood, sweat and tears, I can insert a watermark on my pictures now! Next up, tackling iMovie.

Anyhow, I made this adorable birthday card that's pretty much monochromatic like my last card. I had to break it up with some patterned paper and the die-cut edge at the bottom. I did end up making another card using Fine Linen Felt for my ice cream scoops as I mentioned in the video and I think I like it better. Then again, I'm not sure, but I'm okay with them both. They will be going into my boutique today. Then I have a lot of kits to finish up. I only have to do one of each but then will make the rest when it's ordered. I actually had the video filmed and edited yesterday to finally get a Clean and Simple Tuesday post up rather than on Wednesday, but I had to do all of the links one at a time below to start building up my link library. What. A. Drag! In the long run when as I add more links, it should get easier. I will link to where I actually got the product, like my Doodlebug Bon Bon Sprinkles I got from Taylored Expressions, but they are also in online stores. That might change in the future as a link breaks if the store is no longer carrying the product. I will have to wing it. I will not link to stores that I believe are unethical and treat their customers poorly. With that being said, I will only link to Ellen Hutson, eClectic Paperie and Joann's. I also repossessed my Copic storage system by Studio3Solutions when they first opened. I made a blog post and the comments and questions just got to be overwhelming so I deleted the post a few years ago, but the picture that I took was not watermarked and now it is as I'm the one who took the original picture. The picture is below and if you choose to use it, please leave my watermark and give credit where credit is due. I am getting rather militant about that as I am seeing my cards published in magazines and intellectual property also showing up on videos, such as outlining your fussy cut images with a black pen. I did a video on that at least 2 years ago and now it's everywhere, which is good and I'm glad to help and share as that's what this industry is all about to me, but give credit where credit is due. Below is the Copic marker set up that I have, although I've added a lot more markers since that time.

Stampin' Up! demonstrators can pre-order new product from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog tomorrow so I'm pretty psyched about that. I don't have mine yet so I will have to look at the online catalog. It's not as fun that way. I'm super visual and I want to physically hold it and flip the pages and just take it all in. Email me if you're interested in holding an online class, participate in an online class, product shares and more!

Nothing new this way. No earthquakes or tornadoes lately, but the pool water is getting warm so I think it's that time of year to break out the raft and start the tan. That, I'm very excited about. I sleep for a few hours, tan and bleach my teeth. It's the ultimate multitasking. I do have to get dad's car to Honda since I'm having some serious battery problems. It just quit and I've had to have it jump started by AAA 4 times now. It's a 2012 so I shouldn't be having issues like this. My Volvo is screaming at me as well since she's over her 10,000 oil change and whatever else they do. It's super convenient that it only has to be serviced every 10,000 miles. I'm going to have to go to Sacramento to get that done at an Volvo Authorized Dealer and she gets a complimentary detail. She's a mess and just really dirty from driving back and forth between houses. I've been trying to do that in the early evening because by then, the farmers are done with their crop dusting. I drove through a couple of them the last time I drove up to Chico and could literally taste the pesticide and God knows whatever else they put in there in my mouth and I'm pretty sure my life expectancy went down by a decade. I am not prone to headaches, but that gave me a headache.

So, I hope you enjoy these 2 cards and I will get crafty with you again soon! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today and God bless.
