Make the Cards Challenge 47; Valentine’s Day with Sweet Talk Suite Collection + Live Classes

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge 47, where our theme is Valentine’s Day, and I invite you to join us.

I made these simple and fun cards with coordinating treat boxes. I am getting a lot of mileage from this packed full of products suite and you will, too!

This is another suite collection where when you purchase from me, I am offering a private and FREE online live card and gift box class with you on February 7 featuring exclusive designs. I also have my Paper Pumpkin live class on the 7th for my subscribers.

Both projects were completed the exact same way with a simple change of base colors of Real Red and Highland Heather.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

Both cards and boxes were created exactly the same from Real Red and Highland Heather. I’m going to keep the terms generic while trying to articulate this for you in writing.

I started out with an A2 landscape card base and cut the Basic White mat that was embossed with the Gingham EF from the suite collection. I wrapped the ribbon about 1-1/2″-ish or so up from bottom and secured the tails to the back of the mat. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the mat that was adhered to the card base.

At this point, I just started die-cutting and stamping everything in assembly. I cut the sentiment mat from cardstock using the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle and straight cut the DSP that was adhered with liquid adhesive. The mat was then adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die-cut the tags, threaded Basic White Twine Essentials through the top of the tag, adhered a large gem in the upper right, added the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the tag, and then added 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals on the center of the tag that was adhered to the right of the sentiment panel. I stamped the sentiment twice onto Basic White CS, trimmed to size, punched the right end, then adhered to the panel with liquid adhesive … which is where I messed up. I really wanted to get this down with Stampin’ Dimensionals, but, it worked out.

I created the wraps and tags in the same fashion. For the box, I like to adhere the end of one of the DSP with Tear & Tape and secure the rest down with liquid adhesive. I soft wrap the wrap around the box to get where I need to crease, hand fold, and then use my bone folder to crisp up the crease. The wrap is secured to the box with a piece of Tear & Tape at each end. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the box and tied it at the top into a bow.

For tag, I cut to the measurements below and adhered the DSP to the CS with liquid adhesive. I rounded the corners, punched the top, and then added Basic White Twine to the top of the tag.

To embellish the tag, I cut the 3 heart die, adhered the outline to the bottom of the tag with liquid adhesive and the solid hearts with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. I added a rhinestone to the center of each heart.

I die-cut the envelopes, ran them through the Gingham EF, assembled, and adhered them to the tags with Tear & Tape. The envelope sentiments were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered to the envelopes with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The solid hearts were stamped with the XO stamped over them twice then cut. The heart was adhered and tucked inside of the envelope with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I tucked the white twine under the box ribbon and left the tag freestanding.

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
