Love One Another

Good morning! It's the fresh start of a new week and a new Bring Back Beautiful Challenge by Flourishes. Our challenge this month is the beauty of the Spotlight Technique written and video produced by our own Beate Johns. I have never done the spotlight technique before and found this to be quite interesting. I did some blog and gallery and noticed that everybody used white on white for their spotlight with a mat. While I used a mat, I decided to stamp my image onto textured colored card stock for something a little different that makes a big impact.

We hope that you'll join us today for our challenge. You have until the end of June to link your spotlight challenge card to the Flourishes Blog. When uploading your card to online galleries, please use the keyword BBB11. At the end of each month, the design team chooses our favorite cards and awards with recipients with a True Beauty Blog Badge that will be announced for our next challenge on July 4. Have fun with this technique and we'd all love to see your beautiful cards. For more inspiration, please visit the blogs of the Bring Back Beauty Design Team. Here's my card that I'd like to share with you.

Thank you so much for visiting me today and God bless you. Today's Treasure: John 13:34-35.

Please excuse my photography. It's just been really lousy for some reason lately. I definitely need to make some camera adjustments.

  1. What a cool way to spotlight! never in a million years would I have pulled out my pennant dies! This is just abeautifully colored, almost whimsical creation! 🙂

  2. This is so pretty Cindy.  I like the flag die you used.  I tried a mat on my spotlight and it didn't look so good.  I only have one size circle SB die and it was too much difference between the sizes.  I tried a hand cut cirlce and it was ugly!  🙂  I am too picky.  🙂
    Hugs~
