SUO Challenge #330 | Hip to be Square

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a new challenge at Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #330 for our Hip to be Square theme and hope that you join us!

I created this patchwork|quilt card from Stylish Shapes and Countryside Inn DSP + Countryside Blossoms EF. The Crafting With You Bundle is the sentiment, hoop ring, and heart with coordinating dies. I had to break up the busyness of the DSP with the Misty Moonlight hoop and the Balmy Blue|White Variegated Ribbon really defined these two zones on this very monochromatic card. The Real Red heart is a cute accent.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with my Basic White Thick CS card base and cut the Boho Blue panel to size then embossed with the Countryside Blossoms EF. The panel was adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.

I then took the smallest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies and cut 12 squares from Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper that I arranged atop of the card. I added 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of every square and adhered them to the card front using my ruler to keep it all even.

I stamped the sentiment from Crafting With You in Night of Navy ink onto Basic White Regular CS and cut this from the hoop die in Crafting With You. I ran the same die again with Misty Moonlight CS to get the hoop frame. I inlaid the sentiment circle within the hoop, flipped it over, and used a little Scotch Tape on the back to adhere both pieces together.

For final assembly, I wrapped the ribbon behind the sentiment hoop and secured that with Scotch Tape, as well. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the top and bottom of the hoop and adhered to the card front.

This is a great way to use up paper scraps.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
