Let’s Craft & Create #197 | Flowers

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Let’s Craft & Create Challenge #197 where our theme is always Anything Goes with an option and we would love for you to join us. This month’s option is flowers so I made this birthday card from the So Refreshing Bundle and Nested Essentials Dies with a focus on Lost Lagoon.

I’m so happy Lost Lagoon and Misty Moonlight returned. We do a color revamp every 5 years incorporating favorite retired In Colors and all new colors. I also brought in Lemon Lolly, which is a new color.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with my card base and layered my Lost Lagoon 6 x 6 Subtles DSP onto the base with Seal Adhesive.

I then cut the large Nested Essentials Die from Basic White Regular CS, stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black from So Refreshing, and then adhered this to the card with Seal Adhesive.

I started to stamp my flowers and had to do this a few times because my die-cut was not lining up. When that happens with photopolymer stamps, it’s because they somehow got out of shape, for lack of a better term. When this happens, use the coordinating die-cut to place your image.

I did this with the stem and flowers for this card. I cut my Basic White Regular CS to 5 x 5 square so I could simply rotate the paper around on the Stamparatus so every image was perfectly stamped and die-cut. The florals have a stem, line art image, and a solid image.

This is how I stamped my line art and solid images for this project.

  1. Branches: Old Olive.
  2. Leaves: Outline is Old Olive with solid in Granny Apple Green.
  3. Flowers: Outline and solid are Pumpkin Pie.
  4. Lemons: Outline is Daffodil Delight with solid in Lemon Lolly.
  5. Pitches: Outline is Memento Tuxedo Black with solid in Lost Lagoon.

After the images were stamped, they were cut from their coordinating So Refreshing Dies.

I tied a piece of Basic White Twine around the handle of the pitcher.

For final assembly, I put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of everything and adhered the pitcher, flowers, lemons, all of the images, to the card.

To embellish, I scattered 5 Pearl Basic Jewels in all 3 sizes around the card front.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
