Lemon Drop Treat Box

Hello there! I hope you are doing well. Today’s project is this cute little treat box I made using our new Clear 2 x 2 Boxes in the new Holiday Catalog. These little gem-sized boxes are perfect for dressing up so many fun items; from candy to jewelry and perfect for any holiday or occasion.

They are oh so easy to make too. The boxes are already pre-scored for you. I like to put Glue Dots on the bottom to really secure the tucked closure flap.

This is an overall fun gift. With cold and flu season coming up, I can picture myself making many of these little gifts with a 2nd box for tea bags and make a bag to tie it all together for a fabulous presentation that is sure to lift anybody’s spirits.

You can see the different ink colors I used that I pretty much mixed together and hoped for the best. I started to add some Early Espresso on the left lemon, stopped, took a quick look and it worked. There’s enough of this color to lead your eye to the left lemon with the sentiment, while the lemon on the right has bright colors. It’s all very eye-catching.

I used the Layering Squares Framelits to die-cut the panels for the top of the box with Oh So Lovely Designer Series Paper and a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock to mat the top of the box sentiment on. If I could do this again, you know what I’m going to say…stamp the sentiment lower. I knew I was going to add the leaves, but they were so blah. I didn’t want to bulk this up anymore, so I doubled up some Linen Thread and tied a quick bow between the leaves.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my little gift/treat box today. You can whip out a ton of these in no time at all and they are so very inexpensive, not to mention totally cute that any recipient would love.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today to visit me. God bless and I’ll see you soon. I have a lot of Stampin’ Up! specials I must share with you and will get those posts up this weekend as well as put together the rest of the September-October Card Kit. I have a lot of work to do! If you would like a catalog, please contact me and I would be more than happy to earn your business. Have a great day!
