Hugs & Kisses

Good morning. I've decided to blow off my hair appointment today because this is the first day in 4 months that I've been by myself during the day and I'm enjoying the peace too much, and that's actually coming over beauty, including the nails! This adorable clean and simple, yet very nontraditional and masculine Valentine's Day card covers four challenges! I'm not a big challenge combining kind of person because I don't have time to keep up with a lot of them and I have my usual round of challenges that I play in, and 90% of the cards that I make go for magazine submissions. I played in a few new challenges of Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge 38 (SCF38) by Mark's Finest Papers to use a heart on your card, and Pals Paper Arts Challenge 76 (PPA76), which is a Stampin' Up! inspired challenge, to make a Valentine's Day card. The other two challenges that this card was made for is the Christian Paper Crafts Color Monday Challenge 92 (CPC-CM92), and Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple Challenge 102 (CAS102) based off a sketch by cindybstampin'. Whew! That's a lot of links!

I am very happy with how this card turned out and love the clean and simple cards and look. I especially enjoy the instant gratification of clean and simple cards, and really should incorporate that into my scrapbooking. I also have to draw a winner (which will be posted above this) from yesterday as promised for the Cardabilities Birthday Bash Blog Hop. To catch you up a bit on my life, I've got another cross country move coming up, my 3rd in 18 years, and I'm getting very tired of doing this, but I'm going home and can't wait! I'm not walking into another blind move like I was when I moved to Kentucky a little over 4 years ago. My house went on the market last Thursday and I already had a showing yesterday that went VERY WELL. The potential buyer told my realtor that my house was "the perfect house for me and I love everything about it." I'm hoping for a full asking price offer by the end of this week. Not only that, the house we've been looking at and love just lowered their asking price by a significant $35K! I give all of the glory to God for all good things and have faith that he'll work it to our good and in his timing. Please keep this in prayer. It's going to be even more crazy in the next 6 months, so please be patient with me and again, please pray for the move, my family, whatever the Lord leads you to pray about. I sure do appreciate your thoughts and prayers always. Thank you for stopping by to see me today and I pray that you have a Spirit-filled day! Today's Treasures: Romans 8:28 and Jeremiah 29:11.
