Collage Stamping Using a Stamp Press With Video

Hi friends. I've been doing a lot of design team work this weekend and stumbled upon a lot of new techniques and organizational tips that I made videos for. This video is about 20 minutes since we're doing an entire card. The other two videos are about 5 minutes long. All videos are chalk full of information if you've never seen a video like what I've done or don't know about the technique. I do think you will enjoy them. I know I was really happy upon discovering everything! The stamp press is really cool and I never use it but it was the first tool that I went to so that I could make this card to keep the stems and other things hidden and by adhering the Boutique Border die-cut that I chose to use to the top of the stamp press, really helped me out a lot. There was no guess work at all and that's exactly what I was after.

Below is my card and is a CASE of Dawn McVey. She had this card on her blog today and it jumped out at me, like all of her work does. She's a phenomenal designer and I really enjoy her work. I also love reading her blog. You feel like you're in her livingroom talking to her when you read her blog. I really enjoy it. She has a few new stamp sets coming out on November 15 and her needlepoint background, love it, I'm getting it.

You will have to excuse the quality of the video and pictures. There is absolutely no decent lighting here, the counters are not friendly to stamping any way at all nor stamp as I'm a stand up and stamp person, especially when doing videos. I mean, my chair isn't even the right height for being productive. I wrote down the measurements and am off to the office supply store first thing tomorrow morning. I definitely will be changing all of that this week and place an order or two with Home Depot to customize my space a little more as daddy and I put it together last summer (meaning we picked what we wanted out and had it installed). Our goal was to make this look more like a library as the space is shared with the livingroom. I opened that up significaly as I didn't need all of the dead space in it. I just need to get some pantry type cabinets installed for stamp storage with the pullout drawers and an island so I can go back to my usual routine and what I'm used to. I'm also getting a chandelier to put in my space too, just like I have at home. It's so me. The industrial storage that I got looks fabulous in here. I love it. Daddy and I were trying to warm up his house as he said he felt like he was in a hospital since it was so sterile and white, there's white everywhere, and it's driving me insane. Even all of the counters are a white quartz and do you know how hard that is to clean? It's crazy. I have quartz in my office, but it looks like granite and I did that on purpose since granite is porous and it only takes one spill to stain, forever. Now, I have some color and lights, and a new lovely bistro table for the kitchen, just like daddy wanted! This place is really coming along very nicely. I do leave the doors to daddy's room and bathroom closed as it's in a different "wing" of the house and one I don't need to go into very often. I don't purposely avoid it but still feel like I'm invading his space. California Closets is coming over tomorrow and then the back porch should be getting torn up and beautiful stamped concrete put in. That's another thing he wanted to do so I'm going to do it because he wanted it. Thank you God for that prepaid Visa! The Man Cave garage is staying the same. I just park my car in there. I want his touches here too and what he did and was proud of. However, the military clock above the TV is going as soon as I can get my other clock up here. It will either be this round Greek looking type of wall clock that is very well made or I'm going to take in my beautiful Herman Miller clock that chimes at the hour and on the half hour, into a repair shop and bring it up. I really miss that clock. Pete bought it for me in our farmhouse in New York and it's been at least 4 years since it's even been put up at any of the houses. I should have put all of this stuff under my Get To Know Me Series, so I suppose I will stop here.

The quality of my pictures are absolutely awful right now but I do have a light box here that I got off of eBay for less than $20 with free shipping that looks great and won't invade the space too much. It's just the perfect size so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and I can put it together.

I mentioned all of the supplies that I used in the video so there's no need for a supply list this time around. I just want you to enjoy the video and get something out of it.

Blessings to all of you.

PS: I also want to bring to your attention that since I went back to my maiden name, all of the videos listed as Cindy Coutts are still up but in a different area on You Tube, as I have over 100 videos up. I will be talking to them about this tomorrow/Tuesday to see if they can combine all of my videos. One thing that I will do right now is – see that TV graphic on my sidebar that says "Cindy TV"? I will link that directly to the Coutts videos. I don't know what happened or why since I didn't change any settings. Weird.
