Good morning ladies. Today’s Color Monday challenge at Christian Paper Crafts is to use black and white with a color of your choice. I combined this with today’s Get Sketchy challenge and came up with my very clean and simple Friend to Friend card. What took me the longest on this was finding the right ribbon. I was desperately hunting for some black ribbon with white or yellow polka dots on it, but couldn’t find a thing. I think this felt ribbon by Stampin’ Up! worked out for the best because it would have been too busy otherwise. I started with an SU Basic Black base and layered on Basic Grey Ambrosia. I stamped my image using the rock ‘n roll (hooked on that lately) technique in Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set by Stampin’ Up!, and stamped my sentiment in Basic Black. I then used my circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities to dry emboss and cut. What do you think? I hope that you have a very blessed day.
