MTCC27 – Color Challenge with Penguin Place Bundle

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge 27, #MTCC27, where we are having a color challenge and invite you to join us.

I am interpreting these colors to be Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, So Saffron, and either Polished Pink or Flirty Flamingo on the Stampin’ Up! palette. I went with Polished Pink for this challenge.

I created a Concept Art Card on page 33 of the Holiday Catalog aka July – December Catalog. I changed the colors to fit the challenge.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions are below. I kept this card very clean and simple. It’s the perfect card for a juvenile female winter birthday. Changing the colors would make an adorable little boy card.

I started out with a top-folding Polished Pink card base and cut a piece of Basic White Regular CS from the 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle Die for the image panel.

I used the Penguin Builder Punch from the Penguin Place Bundle to punch out the main penguin image with Basic Black CS and the overlay image from Basic White Regular CS, that was adhered to the penguin with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The 2 little feet were punched from Pumpkin Pie CS and adhered with Mini Glue Dots. The eyes, beak, and tie were stamped directly onto the Basic White Regular CS overlay with Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie, and Polished Pink.

The penguin will be adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals after I use it as a guide to stamp my presents in all of the colors of our challenge. Five small Basic Rhinestone Jewels were placed where any bow would meet on the images.

The balloon string was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, as was the sentiment inside the Polished Pink stamped balloon.

As you can see, this was an incredibly easy simple stamping card to make with adorable colors + dimension. I really hope this bundle carries over and you participate in our challenge.
