CARDS and a Card

Good morning all. I had a great time at the Stampin’ Up! Regionals in Cincinnati and met just a ton of wonderful women and my upline, sidelines and downlines. The drive wasn’t that bad either but my truck is just filthy. My husband put some kind of German wax on it that took 15 hours for him to do (2 coats) and it really makes my truck sparkle, like I could put my makeup on looking at it. Anyhow, I’ve been instructed not to take it through the car wash under any circumstances because it will remove all of the wax, so I’m not really sure how to wash it right now as I know it will drive me nuts being that dirty.

I forgot what a big city girl I was. A block away was a Macy’s! It’s been a long time since I’d been there and right across the street was Sak’s. I stayed in the heart of downtown and it was fabulous. If I ever have to move again, I’d like to go to Cincinnati. I’m back east enough, the weather is still decent, and I’m that much closer to Mike and Alaina. Needless to say, I had a very busy and exciting weekend. Also, I forgot to bring my face and eye cream with me and the ladies at the Lancome counter came to my rescue by giving me a bunch of samples. I went into Macy’s and told them my plight of how I couldn’t bring myself to go to Walgreen’s to get my cream because I was sure I’d break out, dry out or something terrible.

I also got an e-mail this weekend that one of my cards is going to be published in CARDS Magazine in February 2010. Very cool. I hope they don’t read this but when I make submissions, I think for sure that they’ll pick one particular card and they always end up picking the one card that I have to wonder what the big deal about it was. Weird.

I went ahead and made this fun and fast (pun intended) wedding card today for the Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. What do you think? Thank you for looking and have a tremendously blessed day. Today’s Treasure: Isaiah 50. I love Isaiah’s writings on being obedient to the Lord.
