Birds & Branches + Create With Friends Spring Card

Hello there and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Thank you for joining me today for a Spring project made with Birds & Branches, Birds & More Dies, Birch + Create With Friends.

This card is a bit unusual, even for me, but, why not? Right?

This one took a little bit of work with all of the stamping and die-cutting, but it was nice to work with and refresh these products. This is a 1-layer card with several die-cut dimensional layers.

As always, your shopping Supplies are below.

I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick CS card base. I inked up the Birch background stamp with Blushing Bride and tapped Pool Party Ink on top in several places, that you can see in the photograph.

I cut 2 of the stand-alone branch dies from Birds & More from Basic White CS and adhered them to the top and bottom of the card base in opposite directions with liquid adhesive, right about where the Birch stamp begins and ends to transition the card front.

After adhering the branch dies, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and Cinnamon Cider from Create With Friends at the far right.

Now onto the stamping and die-cutting, and there is a lot of that, but really easy enough, and I am going to describe to you what I stamped and cut, then my final assembly.

Nest: Stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink with the edges in Early Espresso, then cut from the coordinating die.

Eggs: Stamped in Blushing Bride, So Saffron, and Pool Party. I added the speckle dot detail with a Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Write Marker, then cut from the coordinating die.

Flowers: Stamped in Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo, then cut from the coordinating die.

Leaves: Stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive, then cut from the coordinating die.

Bird: I lined the back of the Misty Moonlight CS and Vellum Layering Designs DSP with an Adhesive Sheet, both cut from the stand-alone die, and adhered together. A small Basic Black Classic Matte Dot was adhered for the bird’s eye.

For final assembly, ALL of the images above were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown. There are little cheats here and there of using liquid adhesive and strategically applying the Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the images so everything would line up right.

Five Polished Pink 2021-2013 In Color Jewels were scattered about the card front. This jewels go with absolutely everything, no matter what.

For the inside of the card, the branch was stamped in Early Espresso with the heart in Flirty Flamingo. The bird was cut from the same stand-alone die that was used on the card front from Misty Moonlight CS.

As you know, I’m a huge fan of decorating and leaving the inside void of sentiments with an outside almost generic sentiment that can be easily customized to fit within the theme and need of the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
