Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for another collage card featuring Birds & Branches + By the Dock, along with die-cuts from other Bundles. I do have a simple collage card video for you on Saturday to make up for last week.
I would also like to thank everybody for the birthday cards you have sent to me!
Again, I shopped my stash to find the die-cuts that I had envisioned to complete this card. I used Sponge Daubers on all of the florals that are adhered to the Purple Posy 6 x 6 In Color DSP to achieve an ombre’ effect of sorts. The sponged florals in Bumblebee and Seaside Spray are from the Birds & Branches Bundle with the white die-cuts from the Sunflowers die-cuts, which I can tell is going to be a favorite for the lengthy leaf sprigs. I can certainly see using this on holiday cards.
The bird image is stamped in Bumblebee. I also used white sewing thread on this card with Purple Tricolor Ribbon to accent the top right, along with 5 Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
As you know, I’m a huge fan of texture and dimension, both of which are heavy on this card, that balance the design out. The Rule of Odds was followed with the colors and embellishments.
